How Does Your Garden Grow- Watercolor Illustration & Tutorial

This illustration has lived two lives. The first was as an illustration created during Lilliputian Living, my month-long inked art challenge that I do every October. The focus is on storytelling and worldbuilding, creating new Lilliputain characters and exploring their daily lives. Every day I sketch and ink something- no corrections to the inks allowed. Throughout the year, when I'm not working on reviews, classes, or my comic, I'll pick a few Lilliputan Living illustrations to repencil, reink, and paint. This illustration depicts a tiny gardener watering her sprouts, while a sparrow picks at seeds.
